This text was not required reading in my History course, but it had been recommended as a good source. Irving Fang's text is outdated, but it is well-written, and it makes for a solid reading on the History of Mass Communication. Well worth the inves| |I find the book to be quite thorough and provocative.

Fang's book is comprehensive and avoids the usual dryness associated with historical tests. It is perfect for an undergraduate class-quick and painless.
